It is not a bad idea to disconnect the water hoses a few days before moving day incase you discover that they are impossible to remove because they have become corroded. It is highly recommended that at the time of moving you replace your washer hoses. These are available at most hardware stores.

Grandfather clocks must be serviced before they can be moved. The weights must be removed (do not touch with your hands, use a cloth), the pendulum removed, and the chains must be wrapped in a towel to prevent them from swinging into the glass sides. The weights and pendulum should be packed. Valuable and antique grandfather clocks should be crated.
Lamps must be unplugged with shades and bulbs packed.
You should only count lamps that can't fit into a box. It is less expensive to move a lamp in a box then an unboxed lamp. The boxed lamp would simply be counted as a box.
Pianos require special equipment and special training. Our movers are specifically trained in moving pianos. We only move pianos from ground floor to ground floor.
Pictures must be removed from the wall and boxed. We can box pictures as an additional service.

We will move your dresser with the drawers in it.
The only items that may remain in the drawer in something made of cloth. Please remove all jewelry, perfume and non clothing.
We will remove and reinstall any mirrors attracted to your dresser. The mirror must be listed separately in your inventory list. The mirror must be boxed. We can box it as an additional service.
Vertical files may remain full.
All wooden file cabinets must be emptied.
All lateral files must be emptied, per the manufacturers specifications, the drawer slides are not made to be moved full. (Sorry!)
All televisions must be unplugged and additional cords completely removed.
Standard televisions are not classified as electronics and don't need to be boxed. Flat panel televisions will either need to be boxed in their original packaging (or equivalent) or crated by us as an additional service.
We will disassemble and reassemble your beds.
All your bedding should be completely removed and packed.
Light bridges and unique disassemblies might be considered an additional service.
All water beds must be completely drained. Make sure you allow enough time to do this, it could take several hours.
Waterbed disassembly might be considered an additional service.
All drawers must be emptied and everything removed from the top.
Empty drawers can remain in the desk or credenza
Any necessary disassembly might be considered an additional service.
Free Weights: Every 100 pounds of weights should be counted as an item.
Universal Gyms: Any disassembly will be considered an additional service. Each disassembled piece must be able to fit through all doors. No more than one weight stack per piece.
We can supply wardrobe boxes to move your hanging clothes from your closet. Each wardrobe box is 2 feet wide. For every 2 feet of hanging clothes you will need one wardrobe box.
We will bring the wardrobe boxes on moving day and place them in the needed rooms. After you are finished loading them we will move them to your new location for you to unload and return the box to us.
There is no cost for the use of the box, only for us to move them.
Mirrors must be removed from the wall and boxed. We can box mirrors as an additional service. We do not normally re-hang mirrors, but we can do it as an additional service.
Hutch / China Cabinet:
China cabinets are two pieces and hutches are only one piece.
Both must be completely emptied.
A small box is when a mover can carry two or more at a time.
A large box is when a mover can only carry one at a time.
All boxes must have covers and taped shut.
You may use a heavy duty trash bag to pack any cloth items such as bedding, towels, pillows, stuffed animals...
We can not move guns or ammunition. Gun safes are generally require special handling. Please advise of the weight.
The shelving must be emptied and disassembled to the point where it will fit through any doorways.
The pool table must be completely disassembled and the slate must be professionally crated. We can provide disassembly and crating as an additional service.
Power tools must be able to fit through any doorways and please advise us about any unusually heavy items.

Please empty the gas tank.
Try to remove any loose grass from the top to help keep our trucks clean.

This portable basketball hoop is the kind out would have out in your driveway not the small plastic type. The small plastic ones should be placed in the "Large Toys" section.
All sand must be removed from your sand box and cleaned.
Swing set must be disassembled to a point to fit in our truck doors which are a minimum of 7.5 feet wide and 7.5 feet tall. Any questions about your swing set please call. We can disassemble and reassemble your swingset as an additional service.
